Becasue the stock B18c head gasket is made for a 81mm bore, and the b20 gasket is for a 84mm but with out the oil passages and either way you would have to either punch one out for the bore, or for the oil passages. Right? I dont know....

I don't understand. You said you are using a GSR block with the oil passages in it so you couldn't use the Honda gasket without modifying it. What head are you using? And why won't it work? Thanks for the pic.
I suppose I should be more clear. I am using a GSR motor (block and head). You were suggesting to use the B20 gasket. The reason it won't work is that the oil passage and dowel pins are in the wrong locations, so I would have to modify the head gasket to use it. The other option is to use a GSR gasket, and modify it for the larger bore. The correct way (IMHO) is to use the gasket which is made for the application - Cometic. They have what basically works out to a GSR head gasket, but with 85mm bore. Tri metal just like stock, and stock thickness. They also have thicker head gaskets if you want that sort of thing.

BTW, my block work cost 880 to have it sleeved, bored, honed, decked, and O ringed, all with the specs I provided. I did not go through the group buy, this is your average price when anyone would call to get the same work. Turn around time is about 10 - 14 days for GE, thats the best part Keep in mind though, this does not include shipping, which was expensive.

but you are putting all those dirty mounting brackets back on?
For this comment alone, I took off all my mounting brackets and sprayed them sem-gloss black. It looks way nicer, thank you for pissing me off enough to finish the job and do it right I also polished the hell out of the drivers side upper mount, you could fix your hair looking into it I'll post pics of the FINAL work soon enough

Ok I see. I was planning on using a GSR gasket opened up, that's what GE told me to do. Where can you get cometic gaskets at?

Viren, I still have your block sitting here. Do you want me to send it out to Golden Eagle for you?

I won't be pushing that much boost, maybe 15-17psi on race gas. I'll let you know how it turns out. Check out this one man, the power he makes on 12lbs and 550's
