Well guys ITR206 and hondatec38 were with me yesterday when I was dynoing with the AFC, when something went terribly wrong. Pop and white smoke came pouring out the exhaust and breather filter. We think it's either a headgasket or worse ring/rindlands cracked. Had to have the car towed back to my house. We are going to take off the head next weekend, but I don't know what to do now. Here are some options I am thinking about. What are your guys opinions on what I should do?

1. Fix headgasket get car running, sell it and do a 240sx SR20DET project.
2. Sleeve the bitch to 84.5mm with forged parts and hondata and get this thing running like a beast.
3. Do internals no sleeving
4. Fix car, sell car, get an EK hatch make an LS/Vtec allmotor track *****
5. Fix car, change back to N/A and use turbo money for driving schools

Thanks for your help guys. This is so frustrating to me. Makes me just want to give up. THis has been a 9 month disaster ever since I went turbo. I have the worst luck .

Have you ruled out a blown headgasket?? Cracked lands would be blue smoke. Do a leakdown and compression check.

We will be pulling the head next weekend to see whats going on. We are hoping its the headgasket but worst case is the ringlands.

#2 and skip on the Hondata. You think you are having problems now what till you get he Hondata. After 3 months of struggling with it and having nothing but poor parts and service from Hondata we threw it against the shop wall. Get a different engine management. Id rather run an FMU than Hondata.

personally i think you threw a rod and cracked hte sleeve. any holes in the block? did hte car die after this incident? i guess you'l lfind out in a week. cars still run with bad headgaksets, just not wlel.

sorry to hear about the troubles Nate. I was there on the dyno day, It suck that after you where finally able to get that thing on the rollers that it blew.

I hope it's just a head gasket.

But I gotta say this I blew my motor the day I turboed it, I just made a decicion to deal with it and make a turbo honda happen. Kinda like getting thrown from a horse and still deciding to get back on it.
Granted I didn't lose an ITR motor but you still get the point.
I understand that you have run into alot of problems but heres one for you.

If its white smoke, then its coolant. Its probably your headgasket. The only way to truly tell what is going on is to pull your head. If you need a rebuild, pull no punches and get it sleeved and fullly built. I have an account with GE if you need a hook up on the pricing. Oh, run hondata and i'll tune if for you!

thanks to all for the support. I wouldnt even think about finishing this without everyone's help. Hopefully it is just the headgasket, but I think I might just go the safe route and sleeve and forge with boostedhybrids hondata hookup and tuning skills I know I can be back in the game in no time. I would also like to thank Tim (hondatec38) and Racer X in DE for letting me use there shop to get this pig back and running soon. (damn I sound like the frickin academy awards ) Anyway I will keep everyone updated on my progress.
