I haven't read up on it, but why fram filter so bad? Does it restrict the amount of oil flowing out? I didnt have any problems with them before. Just curious...

I've never had it happen to me but I've been told not to run fram's because supposedly the filter element inside breaks down.

I always buy fram stupidly because of the grip its got.

I'd hate to lose an engine or turbo over a filter however.

To the OP:

What turbo?

How long did it take 18psi? What were your air fuels and timing @ 18psi? 93 octane?

A friend of mine ran his stock ls @ 15 psi via a turbonetics 50trim. Its been like that now for a few years. Went 11.99 @ 118 in a DC.

Yeah I met you once at parkette. The guy that tuned cords car tuned mine and it runs great. I am only missing a catch can now. And again he looked at Rtc tune they did on my car and he laughed. Idle is great now.

Oh the motor on cords old car didn't blow he just tore it down. Cord looked at it and said the motor still looked good. That was told by me by James short

Eeee....

91 octane and not knowing your A/F with poor timing on Crome... yeah doesn't surprise me at all. Can certainly be done, but there's not a lot of wiggle room on those values with that much boost.

Cool, James Short is a good guy, we've been friends for a while now. I try to send all customers wanting crome to him along with ls-1s and what not.

RTC is a joke, James has pulled the bins and showed me their maps. Its all jagged and rough with weird timing values and what not. It honestly looks like a 3rd grader got a hold of crome. I could go on and on of people they have ripped off.

I think I remember that kid asking me about pistons and rods so I'm guessing that's what hes doing.

yeah i will go to him for now on..... and for rtc yeah they ripped me off and i will speak my mind to anyone that may think about going there..... word of mouth to a shop is like a nail in the coffine...

let me send you thier bend file..... car idled like **** died while pushing in the clutch and fouled plugs out... james used cords bin file as a base to tune mine... i am very happy with it other than the oil seal gone out.

oh and i think my turbo seal is gone cause when me and james were tuning the car was running great and all of a sudden puff all i saw was blue smoke. i thought i shot off a oil line or something but everytime i go into boost i blow smoke a little and when i let out of the gas it gets worse for about 25 seconds then clears up... if i drive normal it dosnt smoke a bit. not at idle or accelerating just when making pulls while in boost. its weird

checked the turbo and it has side to side and up and down play. it only has 500-700 miles on it about.. i am going to mess around with it later tonight.

Try a oil restrictor
and look for kinks of upward drain line
