Nope, you've got a pretty good list right there. If you still have any issues, I'd be surprised.

The only other thing you can do is to meet up the rad with the intercooler making it one continuous piece essentially. What happens is the space between the intercooler and the radiator "stalls" because it is a low pressure area, which means it doesn't get through the rad so well.

If you have issues, you can put a pusher fan on the front of the rad to go along with your puller on the back.

Good info! Thanks

E85 is not in my area yet, if so it would have been tuned on E85. I have a 10' reversable fan I might put on the front on the radiator also. The SPAL 13' is due at my door step monday.

^right, ill check into that...Anyone running a 'all in fab' or similar tucked radiator yet??? seems like it would cool even better than a half width radiator with a spal 13' fan and shroud

i'm not sure a tucked radiator would allow you to run an intercooler also, since it sticks pretty far forward.

It's supposed to butt up right behind the intercooler, They make a sexy tucked radiator/ back door intercooler combo which seems to be the ticket if a guy was starting from scratch buying parts.

all in fab/rywire radiators should cool better than a standard half size since the core will be directly behind the fmic getting airflow to it instead of off to the side out of direct air flow. that will be my next purchase since my boosted hatch likes to overheat on the hwy after 45+ minutes when its 90-95* out

Thanks, I knew it would be better, just cant find anyone with a setup that has tested one yet. Yeah same here, might be my next purchase as well.

Drove it today, held just a tick over 200* via auto-meter gauge with sensor in the upper water neck. Factory gauge was normal. Did not throw any Cel's..Shot the radiator with a infrared thermometer, and the radiator core is 20* hotter on the downpipe/dumptube area than anywhere else on the radiator. This test drive was without the turbo blanket. Changing out to a 'all in fab' radiator in the near future. Will update with cooling results later.

you do not want to run 2 fans on the radiator, if possible use the spal as a puller and you should not have any problems at all, it seems as if you have everything else in line

You're overcomplicating things. Civic single core half radiator cools 600whp heavyslut DC chassis Integra if you don't block the radiator with the IC. Don't block the radiator by trying to make the car "look good" with an IC that completely fills the bumper.

It's that easy, kids.

Just installed the Spal 13' fan, would not fit with the shroud so I mounted it straight to the radiator. After a 30 minute backroad drive the autometer gauge did not go over 190. Looks like the 1710cfm fan was all it wanted.

^Your not lieing! It's a night and day diffrence between fans. The shroud wont fit with my setup without hacking up the radiator support, I worked on it all day. It still cools superb without a shroud here in the Carolina's in 90+ deg. and high humidity. Well see how it does at the track, might bring out the "spark wrench" and make the shroud fit, if it gets warm at the track.

The "tucked" radiators allow for a fmic and work well if ducted. Check out my build thread I have tackled the cooling issues on a turbo RR integra so far
