Default better for boost b16a or b18c

ok guys all i'm lookin for is a brief explaination here..i'm doin my swap SOON.. and i want to make the right decision..to make this short i drove my friend's newly boosted RSX-S last night and it was absolutly insane..so now i know for a fact i well definatly be boosting whatever motor i swap.. please consider the cost of everything when telling me why i should do each swap as b16 swaps normally run about 2500 and GSR's around 3500(these aren't written in stone)..as most of us here on H-T i'm not rich so we all know what its like to have to work EVERYDAY for what we want..all in all i'm looking for a low 13 - high 12 second street car with full interior..i guess by now u guys see where i'm going with this..help a brofa out..my main concern is cost to power ratio.. i mean is having that extra .2 liters of displacment gonna be worth my extra $1000 in achieving my goals? cuz i mean $1000 could go to a pretty nice piston/rod setup in a B16..also should i go with a JDM motor or USDM?

sorry i also forgot to include that the car is a 93' EJ1.. thats a 93' civic ex 2dr for the non-chassis code competent..

thanx much in advance!!

I would go with the b18c if you can find a good deal on one. Displacement is your friend

well your oviosly not going to be able to pass smog inless u get a greddy kit, so if i were u jsut get a jdm b16 very cheap, or ls (b18b) turbo

For the money:
ls or b16 turbo

Everyone does gsr and b18b turbos because of the lower compression and torque, but b16 are still hella fun. Lots of horsepower and lots of high revs

also the b16 is just overall a tight motor.

Either way you go... your going to have lots of potential with any of those swaps.

But gsr would be very very quick, and the tranny would be VERY good, inless u put an ls 5th gear in your b16 then its even better!

all personal preference

Screw B16. B18C all the way. Or like everone said. B18B for the cheap alternative.

make sure you are ready to deal with smog issues. if smog technician's get caught passing smog to you, they lose their license and face jail time, which is why almost ALL smog places i went to would not smog my car. a way out of this is, when you have to smog your car, you can always rip your turbo out and put your headers back on and your stock intake. just my .02

C5 is too expensive. Not worth it for power to dollar rate. Could get the same power with the GSR engine on a bit more boost. Not to mention any more than your 6 or so PSI with such high compression u would be looking at detonation on pump gas. Not a good way to go IMO.
