Your stock sleeves will handle much more than your goal. Ive always read 500hp is a good #, but there have been many 550+WHP blocks, as far as your turbo you need to nail down a more solid goal if you plan to max the block. A stock block w/ non forged internals would make 350-375 why not take it up a notch

this is not true at all on a piston and rod block you can make over 400whp on pump with no problems, it's all about the tune, and no you don't need lsd
and a t3/to4 57 trim will make that power on around 13-16 psi if you have an efficient setup and that turbo is very popular and very cheap

In this case, with his displacement, and engine setup, it may be better to go with something a little larger, for the cfm use w/ less boost.

No, not necessarily. You have to somewhat be a bit more specific in terms of what your budget is and HOW you want the response of this turbocharger to be in order for use to give any advice. I THINK I know what you're trying to accomplish here, but I'll tell you that either way its not necessary to budget over 1200 for the turbo and still need over 100-200 additional in lines and fittings just for a GT30R. There are other GT series turbos that can do that job without the ball-bearing cartridge. You just have to give more information. Its not a cut and dry thing..

There are alot of options for you out there. The 57trim would be a good low dollar options and it will hit your goals.
If you think in the future you may want to make over the 400whp mark. I would have you look at a STC Silver Surfer or a Borg Warner S256 these turbos would be able to handle over 500whp.
I would recommend sleeving the block if you go with the BW or Silver Surfer and turn up the boost.

Man U FTW
-T3/T04e 57 trim
-STC GT3255b
-Borg Warner S256
-STC Silver Surfer
Those are just a few that come to mind. Also, dont become pigeonholed into picking only a GT-R series ball bearing turbo. There are many more options out there without the expense and possible hassle of using a ball bearing cartridge. Dont get me wrong, they have their place, but people generally misunderstand their uses.

People that suggest the 57 trim T3/t04e over the 50 or 60 trim cannot read compressor maps. I got into an argument with a guy at Precision about this years ago and he made CLAIMS that the compressor maps on the interweb are Turbonetics and not Garrett compressor maps and the two are completely different. I asked to see the maps and he ignored me stating they were for private use only. I thus took this for marketing lies and nonsense and continue to ignore his advice.

Re: (avotegra)
I talked with a few shop owners today and for my goal of 325whp, they ALL suggested both the 57 and 60 trim. Everyone also agreed that these turbos spool very fast, not expensive, and are good for a little under 400whp, depending on your setup.

Re: (avotegra)
I'm not sure on the max hp for the 50 trim, but I've been told not to expect more than 450whp. Numbers vary with setups though.
