Best position for BOV?

Does anyone know where the best place is to locate a BOV. I have always been told it should be as close to the throttle body as possible but I have seen some just after the turbo and before the IC.
I think I saw a picture of geoff's setup with the BOV on the endtank of the IC.

What's the theory on this?

It's better/best placed close to the Throttle Body.

A friend told me the closer it is to the turbo, the louder the BOV? Is this true?

As close as possible to the TB. The further away you get, the more flutter you will have.

More air coming off the turbine= more air going thru the blow-off at faster rate?? = louder? **** i dont know
