Best Intercooler for EF ???
I am going to turbo my sohc vtec in my 91 hatch. what is the best, small intercooler for me to buy? is the jrc 6" good or should I be looking at something else? I don't want to modify or cut up my bumper I want it to basically sit behind all of that without having to cut much. Thanks.

I would still put on a 22x9x3 for room of upgrades, yes it will make it a little more laggy, but anything smaller just limits you to a base kit. Plus they look funny in the front of the car.

thanks guys, if I were to use a smaller one what would be the size? I really doubt I will boost anymore than 6-8 psi. I know people always say that, but this is just a fun car for me to drive sometimes, I plan on having it resprayed to look new but the car is basically mint

We are using are own, smaller one and we got it to fit behind an ef bumper, no cutting of the bumper grill. Will have some pics next week sometimes.

i want to see pics of that because a friend of mine has the same size intercooler on his ef hatch with mugen style front bumper and it hangs out 2"-3".

I'll get pics as soon as we remount the bumper. We have it on our camera phone but the pic is not that great. We did have to loose the bumper support, but it fits nicely back there and barely can be seen. If painted black it would be stealth.

I think you ment street car, yes it is. It has the bumper support its just cut. I don't think we lost it actually, the other guy working here mounted it, I'll talk to him tomorrow but I think he just cut it to get it to fit.

Re: (Si2See)
We've done plenty of these for the 88-91, by far the easiest fit w/ the least amount of work. Old pic, same size on both cars, both have stock supports, uncut.

The one we used is, yes. The outer portion of the grill is uncut so it looks stock from the outside, you do have to trim a little bit of the bumper to fit. When the bumper is on though is looks stock. I'll get pics today and upload them tonight on my home pc. So I should have them around 9 tonight
