Default Best fuel for 550ish hp

I'm almost done with my new set-up looking to make around 550. The last thing to do is decide on fuel type so I can finish my build. I already have Id 1000's and upgraded fpr. If I don't need the full blown dual pumps It save a good chunk of money. Any input would be appreciated

For pumps, start here. For fuel, ideally you would ask your tuner, but it depends on what exactly is in your build.

On a b-series with 1000cc you can do 550whp no problem with a 255lph pump on gas. e85 will require a bosch inline pump on top of a 255lph to get the pressure high enough to make 550whp on 1000cc injectors.

How can E85 get costly? The parts to support it? Cause its cheap and the mpg really isnt that bad if you get tuned obviously.

I have a 255 in my car already I wasn't sure I'd I could reach my goal on pump gas. For pumps and lines and filters for e85 is over $1000. I don't want to overkill my fuel set-up

In order to do THAT, that means a BIG turbo outside of its efficiency range and really on a peak number to get it. There is plenty of knock-resistant alternative fuels to utilize. Some cost more than others in the short or long run. It all depends upon the purpose of the build outside a peak power number.

Anything from E85 (depending upon the consistent source), Methanol/water injection, C16, or C110 Race fuel, there are pros and cons to each. So, there is no "best" fuel to use. Only "Best for your use".

This subject will be open-ended with no clear answer for pages to come. Only personal experiences in which their locale and preferences will be the "meat" of their testimonials. So research your area for what you can find and what your tuner is willing to work with, as that will be the brunt of your criteria.

I predict this will have a sloppy end to it with no completely impartial view in sight.
