Default best combination?

I finally decided to make some changes on my setup...
I would like to change my GSR pistons with some forged..I've got b16 engine with Eagle H beam rods and GSR pistons..I plan to make around 350 whp with stock sleeves and about 17-19psi ..Is that save with good dyno tune? What CR. pistons you recommend me?I'm looking for some Wiescos 8.7:1..Is that to low CR. for street car?Are wiesco/eagle best combination???

[SARCASM]yes, absolutely. Your car will drive like a dog off boost with 8.7:1 compression. No lower than 10:1!!![/SARCASM]

Yes, 8.7:1 compression is perfectly fine for the street, and the wiseco/eagle piston/rod combo is always a good choice.

I have to unfortunately disagree. 8.7:1 is possible to use, but not very responsive out of boost. Sure you can run MORE boost with it, but because of the new compression, you won't make that much more power than w/ less boost and a higher effective compression. Not hype, not bullshit, just experience from almost 10 years of boosting Hondas and Mitsubishis..

lol, you ever see boosted-hybrid's comparison? Tested a 10:1 GSR then swapped out pistons for 9:1 compression. Lost 1-2 WHP off boost. The "responsiveness" you get out of boost is all in your head, it doesn't do dick all.

I'm running right at 9:1 compression. I feel it's a happy medium for the street, lots of off the shelf pistons available, you can run lots of boost on pump gas, but it's not so rediculously low that you start loosing performance. A friend of mine ran under 8:1 on his B16, and it did drive fine on the street I just feel it was a bit of overkill. Go with the 8.7:1 wiseco's, you won't notice a difference between them and 9:1.
