Default best boost controller?

I know all you guys are going to say AVC-R....but im looking more in the 300 range, without a stepping motor (noisy)

How is the blitz SSBC-iD with the digital display?
What do you guys recommend? I dont want no stinking boost creep : )

I really like the ease of use that the GReddy Profec B offers. Rock steady boost control, simple design, stealth looks. With the remote switching system, its a real nice simple and effective setup. Good price too from http://www.importparts.com

Stepping motor? None of the electronic boost controllers (that I have seen) use a stepping motor. They are all solenoid actuated (noisy).

AVC-R is not necessarily the best, but it does have alot of features that are really nice for street/strip.

Greddy A is difficult to train, but is ROCK SOLID afterward.

Greddy B is simple, yet elegant. Easy to set, but will not 'learn' attack rates and may sag or spike.

Blitz makes SBC's and Dual SBC's that combine a limited set of previous features, and pitfalls.

For price vs. features (@$300)... I would agree with the Greddy Profec B or the Blitz Dual range controller.

I am pretty sure the PRofec A and HKS EVC's use a stepping motor for boost control. The rest use solenoid(s).

The only thing I don't like about the PRofec B is that is doesn't actually tell you what your boost setting is. Just a couple ticks on a dial. You have to set it... boost... look at your boost guage... the adjust... repeatedly.. until you find your desired boost level.

My favorites are the PRofec A and Blitz DSBC

Home Depot makes the best and cheapest boost controller, forget the fancy electronic stuff, really I mean it.

I know people who run every type out there, and the evc 4 works the best, and it is the easiest to use...
I have never heard the stepping motor on my boost control... that is mounted in the engine bay.. how can you guys hear yours??
