Best bang for buck manifold. What makes the most power

Best bang for buck manifold. What makes the most power
General broad question. Not a pissing contest. Talking HP for money spent value.
What style of manifold wll make the HP on the same setup if the only thing that changes is the manifold.
Miniram, ramhorn, top mount, sidewinder etc.
ex. If a full ram only makes 5hp more than a miniram, but costs $200 more, i would say the miniram is the better value
Whats the best STYLE bang for buck manifold out there??

I've made 416whp on a log manifold and I know people have made more than myself. But the more back pressure you have, the more you risk detonation. The way you listed them is generally the order they'll stack up in cost and performance (depending on the manufacturer) IE a shitty top-mount could flow worse than a good ram horn

there is more to it then just what makes the "most hp"
street? strip? auto-x? high rpm build, little lag build?, broad powerband? ect, ect.
lots of people just bolt on a top mount because its the badass thing to do but alot of peoples builds would be better off with something else.

For a street car under 400whp I would say a cast or log mani is bang for buck. A mini ram will make a little more power but costs more.

I would do a tubular regardless just for sake of efficiency. Just because you can make hp doesn't mean you're doing it well. So under 400whp miniram is best option.

spoolinperformance.com had decent prices on the non AFI products they sell...
tubular log mani ac compatible for 300$, mini ram(quick4) for 495$, ramhorn 650$...
depending on your power/set-up or power/set-up goals...
if you were <400 i would say tube log mani
if you were >400hp i would say mini ram
if you were 8.5k-9k redline <600hp i would say ramhorn
if you were 9k+ redline >600hp i would consider a top mount depending on your A/R
though you can use the mini ram(or even a log) for w/e HP goal... but the above is kinda what I think as a est on what i would use each for.
Tube log mani for 300$ i think is deff the best bang for your buck with he power you have/plan to have.

Re: Best bang for buck manifold. What makes the most power
Im not sure a ramhorn would cleara a stock crx hood and support bar.
Would there be any power increase with a miniram versus a ramhorn?
If I can fit a ramhorn they seem to be very good
This is a daily driver though, so cast manifolds have the whole never gonna fail and break on me thing going for them

don't for get the cast iron manifold will spool faster. then goes the mini ram . i have a mini ram in my dc don't like how it sits the turbo super low.

To keep it simple the shorter the runners are the quicker it will spool. As stated a mini ram is a perfect street manifold for quick spool but yes the turbo sits low and can make for a shitty drain tube. Some minirams kinda head upwards before it heads down to the collector and that helps. My miniram sits really low and my dd/beater

theres nothing wrong with a log manifold. especially for a street car. but i bought my mini ram for 350. thats with downpipe and , dumptube. you just need to look around

I made 500whp on a stock LS head with a log manifold. You dont need anything fancy.
My vote is a full race manifold.

The manifold is ~10% of the overall picture here......
Get whatever you prefer if its for a pure street car, the other 90% of the variables can lead you to the correct path.
