Benifit going Hondata??
I have been doing some searching to find out the benifits to switching over to Hondata. All I can really find are people saying "its better" or "there is no other choice". WHY?? I understand it gves you more controll over tuning and all, but what other advantages are there. I'm not talking about launch controll and VTEC piont, but rather what are the real advantages? Tuned Hondata vs. WELL Tuned NON-Hondata. If your not detonating and your A/F is good, what is the benifit of Hondata?
I am currently running a drag gen 3 set up on a 2000 SI at 6.5psi.
Tial wg, tial bov, RC 310's, Vortech fmu, Vafc.
Had Tony at Jotch dyno tune it and came out with 220hp/160tq. A/F was about 12ish to redlind wide open throttle. The guys at Jotech were pleased with the outcome.
Now if I were to switch over to Hondata, Could I expect a gain? Any insite into this would be appreciated.

OK thats the first place I went. It mainly told me what it is , where to buy it, how to install it, and how to tune it. Benifits? Real world users.
I dont care about the shift light feature, the launch controll, The datalogging controll(wont help if you have no lap top) the full throttle shift.
WILL i see a performance gain. Will it allow me to run more boost safer than with out it? And remember the car is dyno tuned, no seat of your pants tune.
My car is very well tuned with out.

The price is appealing but then again when your already there, thats money that could be put to use elsewhere. I am seriously considering it just from what I have read here. Just trying to spend my money wisely.
Any recomendation for some one in the Dallas/Houston area to purchas from and have it tuned?

the FMU and all that is great for 6.5 psi but If you want to turn up the boost past 10 psi then it's really time for management
If you want your engine to last the best place for your money is in good management.

The benefits the Hondata has over your current pump and regulator setup will be tremendous. A pump and regulator setup is crude tuning to say the least. The Hondata will allow your car to run and accept boost as if it came from the factory turbocharged. You will be able to fine tune your fuel and timing parameters much more in depth and at the same boost level, will not only run safer, but I guarantee you it will make more power.

Stock idle, 30-32 mpg off boost, retaining features like A/C, cruise, stock fans etc (not possible on some engine management systems without further wiring) and retaining the honda like reliability.
So where does nitrous come into play on hondata anyways?? I mean N/A with nitrous, s200 with everything a waste where there is no boost or what?
Nitrous is consider boost so you would have to get s200 with boost option.
