are the belts on my sc slipping??
when i am at full throttle, i hear this loud screeching sound as if a belt was broke or something. i checked everything, the belts are fine. could it be that they're slipping and the pulleys aren't grabbin? i can't seem to figure out what the screeching is? someone help me out please!
i ran the car the other day one time at the track and i was only able to pull off a 14.9 (partially due to a fucked up launch) but especially when it's closer to redlining the screeching happens. i have a few more things to do to my car to make it run right with the supercharger but i'm just curious if anyone know what this screeching is? it definately sounds like a belt issue. thanks.

Try tightening the alternator belt. Or... might as well tighten both.
1/8" of play on the SC belt is a decent guideline. Probably about 1/2" or more of play on the alternator belt.
Do you have a boost gauge? If the belts are slipping you'll see the boost drop off as your approach redline.
