Default Basemap/start-up question

I am piecing together a turbo kit now and hopefully in december I will stop daily driving my car and work on putting the kit on. I am going to use a p28 with hondata s200. My question is how do I know if I installed everything correct (fuel pump, injectors, oil lines) if I can't start it up without a basemap... or can I download a free basemap from somewhere so I can at least start it?

I dont plan to drive it AT ALL

I will be towing it to my tuner

When you download SManager from Hondata, they have basemaps available. Choose one that is closest to your general setup to start up your motor. As long as you know it will start and the timing is good, your tuner will go from there.

I've never dealt with S200 but I'm fairly positive it's not like S300 where you just plug it in and load it up to the ECU.

Or you can just leave the stock injectors in and start it with the stock ECU. Then you'll just need to worry about the injectors and if you don't feel comfortable wiring them yourself I'm sure your tuner would do it for fairly cheap.

This is the same issue I am having. I don't know whether to install the injectors in the parking lot of the tuner or what.

I have been driving the turbo set-up with a Vortech 12:1 FMU fine but now I want to install DSM injectors and have it tuned.

I assume you cannot drive with larger injectors on a stock ecu correct?

If I install injectors and an S100 system...will there be a basemap that would allow me to drive to the tuner?

if u have S200 u will need to go to ur tuner to get ur basemap. u cannot edit or change anything in S200 unless u have a dealer license.

Running a stock ecu regardless of your setup to start up your motor is fine. I wouldn't drive it for very long though, nor would i go in to boost...

So if I do everything but the injectors (turbo, piping, intercooler, fuel pump, ect.) and keep the stock ecu hooked up, it should start up? I know not to drive it like that though.

So if I have s100 and I use the software I can get a basemap somewhat close to my set-up and it should start with my new injectors??

Thanks guys

ok, to make it simple. I did this years ago drove from ft worth to dallas. I was having some trouble and couldn't get s200 to work correctly. I've done this more than 1 occasion as well.

sotck ecu stock injectors. drive normally. you will get there and be fine. I promise.

What about spark plugs? Can I put in my NGK 7's or should I leave in the stock ones when I go to start it up..
