so your going to street tune to 26psi? That should be interesting.....

I run a base of 50psi, seems to work well.

He'll be fine, there are some people that can street tune as good as some can dyno tune, as long as he can monitor a/f and has a good EMS i see no problem, my car was street tuned and runs great, the tuner in my area only does street tunes and a lot of evo guys go there, they all say the car still drives like stock, gets great mileage and is fast as other evo's that are dyno tuned with similar mods.

The tuner is the key, the dyno is only a tool. Some of the fastest cars are NOT dyno tuned, they are actually tuned at the drag strip which is street tuning in a controlled environment

a track, dont know how much power you plan on making but anything over 500whp is going to roast tires which doesnt give you a very good log of whats going on, not to mention flying by other people at 130mph.

The track is different from the street. You can see changes in the tune affect mph to tune off of. On the street you are just going by how fast it feels on the butt dyno. Without being able to see measurable torque changes I dont see how you can properly tune ignition timing...and no tuning it to the point of knock isn't the propper way either. Not to mention street tuning can be very dangerous.
