Badgers? We don't need no stinkin badgers.
They are a stock replacement sleeve for stock motors only. Not made for any horsepower at all. Rough lesson to learn...

man, isn't 90mm a rather large bore to be boosting?

damn it man, i knew it wasn't going to last, im sorry you had to prove my point, im ot sure if the sleve was at fault, that much HP with that thin of a sleeve, im sorry man

90mm n/a isn't even that reliable, well how long did it last exactly, almost a week?.. did it ruin your pistons ? how exactly did it end up dying, damge to your head or anyhing else? let me know if you need help with any parts,, also do you think its time for the f22 boost setup???

all that on top of the pistons is from the broken sleeve...it was a good tune trust me. the person i bought that sleeved block from said it was good for high boost...next time ill do more research...

i feel strongly that it was the type of sleeve, not the bore(not that it helped). it lasted 515.6 miles at 19 psi the whole time. the top of the pistons are the worst, the sides are fine...i have to see what my new machine shop says. it died @19 psi @6500 rpms, it just felt like rev limit and then died as soon as i clutched it. a lot of the sleeve is pushed into the combustion chamber of the head, it might be screwed. the head gasket was still intact to cometic

as far as parts i need a new block asap...

the f boost is going in another car, the lude will only see h's...not to be a snob, but im going to blow that within a week also, im sure...but its all going to be free...

wow, get some pics of you cobution chamber, they are not to hard to fix, they han be rewelded, depending on how bad it is.

what about the h22 that you have for sale in your signiture, or is that old news and you forgot to take that out? .. the only h blocks i have , all hae spun bearings, im going to start buying up 98+ h22 cranks and making some good h23 blocks with 55mm mains,

well since the crank is still fine in the blown up one, id like to use it, with a bare block i buy, and keep the other block intact...i cant sell stock pistons rods for ****, but i could sell a compleat stock h22...hopefully that will get me some more investment money.

I'm planning on building one... I take my H23 crank to 8grand all day long and it has been fine (although that doesnt really prove anything), however i think that with thicker mains (55mm) the F23 crank can take it...

Metallurgy aside, most of the OEM-replacement drop in sleeves I've seen are thicker than the Honda ones. No clue about Badger, but they look thicker than the B-stuff I'm used to.

Talked to a guy recently with an old B21A1 Prelude taken to 87mm, he showed me the collection of blown headgaskets (five or six) and the warped to hell block - all within 485 miles. There was very little material between combustion chambers, just like with your engine. He wishes he hadn't tried to take the engine out on the street and drive it around... "if I knew what I had at the time, I would have just trailered it to the track." 485 miles is a LOT of 1/8th and 1/4 passes.

sorry to see the motor get shot . . . . just by looking at the sleeves you can tell that theya re not meant for power at all. No disrespect, but they look just like stock sleeves. How much were they?

the 90 mm bore was not the problem. ya it didnt help, and ya thoses sleeves would have been stronger at a smaller bore, but the problem was i was lied too about those sleeves. when i bought that block awhile ago, both the machine shop, and the person i bought it from said they were good for high boost...

and i didnt just bore to 90 mm for the hell of it. there was problems in the past that scared the crap out of the cylinder walls, and required the sleeves to be bored out that much to clean them up.

i just figured thatothers should know, so they dont get ripped like i did...ill defiently do more research in the future...
