bad wideband o2 sensor?
Hey guys, i searched around and only found one other post kinda like this, and it just kinda died before the guy got much help.
My problem is this. I just pulled my car out of the garage after having it sit for about a year and a half. besides the battery not holding a charge the car fired up perfectly, no smoke or anything. When I took it out for a drive it drove fine but the wideband read a steady 14.52 almost all the time. in boost and just cruising, 14.52. I'm using a plx m300 and 450dsm injectors with a vafc. before storing it it would read a nice steady 12 under boost. Also when i change the fuel around at idle the cars revs change but the wideband doesnt. What could be causing this? Bad o2 Sensor? is there a cheap fix for it? any help is appreciated.

ive heard that when they go bad they tend to read around stoich most of the time, similar to you.
however i had one go bad, it said i was boost afr of 11s and it was really 13s

yea that's what i figured
hopefully i can get one locally since i only have 10 days on the car til it goes into storage. actually maybe i dont even need one since it was running on a fine tune before.

Unless you run leaded fuel like me!

The same thing happend to me last week. I changed my fuel maps and my car was running so rich I went throguh almost 3/4 a tank of gas on a 100 mile round trip. Meanwhile my wideband read 15.0-14.5 constantly... I got a replacement bosch sensor from autozone for 54$ after taxes. I'm not sure if it's the same for you but I had to use a pre-cat o2 from a 2002+ turbo Volkswagen.
