Default Bad fuel pump prevent spooling?

Hey guys ive got a stock fuel pump with my b16 and a greddy 18g turbo kit. I have the car tuned but recently it hasn't been hitting max boost (9psi). I checked for boost leaks and havent found anything. So my question is could a bad fuel pump not supply enough fuel and therefore keep the car from spooling like it should? TIA.

Bad fuel pump wouldn't stop you from hitting max boost. Bad fuel pump would just make your fuel pressure surge and so your fuel pressure will be fluctuating and mess with your tune.

Make sure your wastegate is tight too.

Its got an internal wastegate so i think that might be the problem? The boost varies between 4-8psi

check the linkage on the wastegate actuator. i actually made my boost adjustments on my 18g kit by clocking the compressor thus adjusting the actuator link. hope this helps
