Default Bad Basemap?

Well current setup on my stock b16a is a precision gt3561e turbo 60trim, spoolin log mani and dp, precision 780cc injectors. The problem I am having is that i cannot drive past 5k rpm's AT ALL. I drive normally on the hwy and i cannot past 5k. It sputters like its got fuel cut or something. Also my car idles like ****. I pulled the plugs and they are flat black, and when i drive, i can hear the fuel pump going crazy. So what do you all say to this?

you shouldn't be trying to pass 5k on a basemap... Get it tuned before your motor gets damaged from borewash..

So you're saying you're not boosting but yet you need to go over 5K rpms?

WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO TAKE THE CAR TO 5K ON A BASEMAP? You are obviously trying to push the car somewhat. Do you understand what a base map is designed to do?? To get you from your house to the tuner. For the love of god man take the car and get it tuned. You shouldn't be commuting on a basemap anyway and don't try to tell me your not otherwise there would be no reason to be on the highway.

Alright, i understand that going over 5k rpms is bad on a basemap(while racing). YES i do know what a basemap is supposed to do and designed for. HOWEVER, im on thE highway, and with this b16 tranny, im at 48-4900 going 75? and even if i tap the gas to 5k it cuts out/sputtters. IM NOT RACING or nothing, so if that is what you all think im doing, im not. Im just simply driving. I go a bit fast that is why i asked why i cant even go pat 5k rpms on the hwy. I usually like to go 80 or so, but i cannot.

Fuel pump is not stock. Has a walbro 255 in it.

-THE ONLY reason im commuting in this car bc its my daily. No other car. I've been trying to get a tuner for the past 2 weeks. Everyone is booked.

Well lol start walking or break out a bike untill you get it tuned or pretty soon you wont have a car that runs. I know what your saying man about how your not boosting but you just want to drive fast. But what your not understanding is by NO REASON should you be driving untuned. Thats why you idle like **** your trying to use a stock (untuned) computer to controll a car that is no longer stock. Your cutting out at 5k because something wrong get it tuned and it will be fine....

What we are trying to say is that you shouldn't really be driving at all on a base map. You know what they are for so why in the world would you be commuting around on it? Its not designed to work for the time being until you have money to get a tune. It just so you can get to the tuner in a safe manner and sometimes base maps can't even do it safely but that depends on who you get the base map from.

yeah base maps are bad to drive on. the kid gets it. Im still on a base map for the last 5 months, stil got same compression 180psi, car runs fine, my A/F's are rich. I get on it from time to time, but i also KNOW THE RISK. Cause its a big one.

Get a different base map ($25 phearable.net) , an a a/f gauge.

buy a base map from phearable.net. All my friends that needed a tempary map to use, buys from these guys. Tell them your set up, an maybe tell them make it SAFE. Your car will not be a rocket, but it will be driveable, NOT RACEABLE!

Sounds like your base map dose not retard under boost... hence 5k fuel cut.

BASE MAPS ARE A RISK, some people on here destroy there motor first time they run it through gears. Some people never have issues, chances are any base map for your set up, that retards under boost will make your car work. That is why you need a A/F gauge, an to run the right recomended plugs from phearable.net.

I am not using a a/f gauge i just barrowed one to use to check out make sure i was not lean.

Hope this helps bro, you really really.... really should just take it right to a tuner an have them tune is cause then you have nothing to worry about.
