well i was racing this sentra vspec or w/e and i was very confident cause i just got my 3" custom exhaust. AFter i got my exhaust i never pushed it beyond 6.5k and i redline at 8100. and before my exhaust i did with stock exhaust with no problems. well back to the race i was in second gear around4.5k rpm so i floor it 5k 6k at around 7k ii start backfiring like crazy and that would slow me down i couldn't get passed 7 so i had to shift same thing in all gears at first i though i blew a turbo seal. but after pulling over and checking the car was fine temperature was far below half like always. i have a 2.5"downpipe and then 3" straight pipe. so can anybody help me??? i am getting my car tuned in 2 weeks and want to solve this be4 i do thanks.

 

from what you said it sounds to me like you have some detonation issues.

 

so like what can i do to fix it tune it right away??

dont go in boost anymore

are you currently running somekind of a basemap?

 

itj's bein tuned with a wideband but not dynoed tuned and i have a s-afc. i willl tune it in about 2 weeks .

 

invest in a chipped p28 if you havnt before the dyno tune
