I'm planning on doing a nitrous b20v set up. Heres a small list of what components im going to use
GSR head:
blox type c cams
edelbrock intake manifold
blox 68-70mm throttle body
unsure about the type of header
supertech valvetrain
blox adj. cam gears
B20 block:
still quite unsure but this is what i figure
stock crank with b20 rods, and ctr pistons.
not sure what type of bearings to use.
As far as nitrous, I want to do a 100-125 wet shot non direct port, but with a progressive controller.
00' si tranny with obx lsd.
Thats pretty much all I can think of right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on changing a cetain part of the build? Also, can anyone share dyno numbers of their b20v nitrous?

bump. seen some guys use big nitrous shots on b20s but then others blow them up with 8psi of boost. in the process of building a nitrous motor and i'm torn between a b20 or a ls crank in a gsr block. would be good to know more.
Don't forget about a full throttle switch... that's vital. You dont want to spray under part throttle conditions. As for the bottom end, what do the ctr pistons bump compression to? nitrous loves high compression. For insurance, i'd get it sleeved. You said you were using a gsr head, have you looked into the Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS) plate kit for GSR manifolds? it replaces the butterflies for the secondary runners of stock GSR intake manifolds. Its a pretty stealth setup, and quite efficient.
Good luck with that build man, what u putting this motor into?

I would get the gsr block, but i may be biased because I have a b20 block in garage with all 4 cylinders cracked and all 4 pistons cracked/broke. or sleeve it like the prophet said. thats just what i would do.

For the guy that asked what im puting it into, i'm puting it into a 2000 hatch. I think the ctr's raise compression to 12 something, might be even more since im using a gsr head.

yea no shat. ha. Im building a b18 and use that for a while and keep my b20. eventually sleeve the b20 and take the pistons to the scrap yard or use em as a paper weight
go foward. i have a stock b20 stock gsr head edelbrock intake 70mm tb 4-1 typer header and 75 shot of nitrous. it ran 12.37 on a ef full interior and a/c

I'm building something similar but on a smaller shot on stock sleeves, will be interested to see how yours turns out, sounds like a pretty stout setup though.
I am hoping it won't be an issue since I'm not going too crazy with this b20. It has a b16 head on it but I really wish that someone made a direct port that was an intake manifold gasket but I'll probably plumb one up. I think you'll have issues running a shot that big without direct port.
You guys have to see this "mystery motor" I just bought last night, eagle rods, forged pistons, ported head, "mystery" cams, skunk2 cam gears, looks brand new all around for $800. I think it was built by DNR too.
