b20b w/ ls tranny turbo build.....what all shud i switch?
Im planing on putting a turbo on a b20b w/ ls tranny and was wondering what all i shud switch out im only doing about 5 lbs of boost.

its a b20b and im getting a transmission outta a 92-93 ls integra. im gonna swap out the engine in my 91 crx and put that in it.

Be specific with your goals, 5psi means nothing to anyone here except you. 5psi on my 16g is not the same as 5psi on a 42r. Let me help you out here, answer these questions.
What is the purpose of the car ( daily, drag only, what)?
What is your goal (hp, 1/4 mile, ect)?
What parts do you already have(fuel system, turbo, engine parts, ect)?
What is your budget? (don't give us a B.S. answer like there isn't one)

Its gonna be my daily driver. I just wanna gain some hp torque and mpgs. I currently have a stock b20b from hmotors and a ls tranny. I was gonna buy little pieces over time till i have everything then id take everything apart and switch it out

Ok now you are getting close but you still aren't smart enough to figure this out. KEEP IN MIND you are posting this in a forced induction forum. I get you want it to be a daily driver and buy a piece at a time until you have everything you need. Now you say you want to make more power, torque and mpg. Do you want a 250whp dd or a 500whp dd? What fuel? Do you want to supercharge it our turbo it our even just put a nitrous kit on it? All of these are questions you need to answer for us to help you. You version of a dd may not be the same as mine. I can give you a list of parts that will work but it might not meet YOUR goals

ok cool thanx but was it reliable? i dont want it to be in the shop or broke down all the time. is there any problems that occur alot in ur car?

The reliability is a direct result of the quality of the parts used, and the competence of the installer/tuner. That said, all modifications that increase power substantially have some decreasing effect on the lifespan of an engine. Increased horsepower means increased stress on parts.
If you want reliability then you cant be cheap. When you increase the power by 150% expect to have some issues as you will find the weakest link. Clutch, axles, mounts should be replaced when going boost.

Research your tuner and make sure hes not a flake with a laptop

Ohh ok. I thought it wud be like broke alot. As long as it tuner properly it ahud be like a normal engine. Like how a turbo diesel dont break.

All is true except the bold area.. If tuned correctly, the engine should last as long as any stock engine.. as long as it isnt being revved to the moon and abused.. Just like any other engine on the planet.

OP- you never listed what your turbo set up consists of, or are you planning to buy a specific "kit"?
Well, more like how any other turbo car can be reliable (lancer,sti,etc) not really like a Cummins diesel at all. I don't know of any 500k+ mile turbo Hondas.
