Default b20 turbo how about a block guard??

oki so everyone tells me that my sleeves are weak on my b20 so i was wondering maybe if i throw a block guard in there wouldnt that help? im not going to run high boost. its a complete greddy 18g turbo on a jdm b20b. i only plan on running 5-7psi. so how about me just throwing in a block guard? if so what would be a good brand? thanx for any help or tips!!

blockguard probably wouldn't hurt if properly installed......weather or not they actually help is a different story.

You'll sleep better at night, sleeving would be your best bet,but a block guard will work
for now.correct me if i'm wrong but i think Golden eagle makes a pretty nice one.Good luck

A: Knowing your engines limits
B: great tuning is a must!

as long as you know your power limits and tuning will definitly help your setup stay safe..

block guards arent neeeded when you go all out and get a good tune

sleeving would definitly be the best option period. but if thats not workable, than just tune it good and set a power goal that is reasonable without exploding the sleeves

well i have been reading and i get what you guys mean. i've been thinking and i am going to wait till i gather up some money for a good tune. what s a good price for a tune? this guy told me 100bux an hour for dyno and 100bux an hour for labor including chipping out my ecu. he told me i'm looking at around 400bux.hows that sound? or should i look around more? time is what i MOST have so i dont mind waiting, well i mind because i wanna be turbo lol,but i dont want it to blow up or anything/
i doubt i will buy a blockguard anymore ill just spend that on an extra hour on the dyno what do you guys think about the tune?
