Default b20 boost levels LOOK

I just wanna know who has a stock non-vtec b20 with boost... How much psi you guys running?? I have a zdyne gold with .7 retard and 145 fuel should i be cool with 8-10 psi or should i worry about stuff not detonating at all now... Just wondering what other people have been running and how long it lasted under normal driving...
thanks

depends... with a stan alone I would think 8psi is fine... 10 psi might be pushing it, depending on fuel used and the turbo (I/C'd I hope) and exhaust setup. What do you mean by 145 fuel? 145 octane? Don't need that... you already have ~1 deg retard per pound, that should be more than enough, I'd watch the A/F and keep it around 12:1 at full boost at 10 psi.

The only "real" B20 Blow up I've seen was on this board.. cracked walls at 16psi, but I've heard of ring lands going above .8 bar (12psi) too. At this high boost level, I don't think you can rev it like a B18C

My 2 cents...

thanks sol and that 145 is 145% per pound fuel increase.... im gonna get it wideband tunned and turn it up to 10 psi i think for a race and see what happens doesnt detonate now so i think it will take it good , the zdyne is real nice like a hondata setup
thanks for input

I forgot to mention that I run 8 psi everyday to work, and mistakenly ran 10psi after isnalling my boost controller (only to abou 5000 RPM though) so ...

I'm running .5 deg per pound, 25.5 deg advance at 7000 RPM / 8 psi

No new dyno #'s YET...

i had a b20, it's on my garage floor now.......ran 6 psi daily on fmu, then put in my avc-r and ran 10psi for 2 days.........i think the ring lands went, but it did run 12.9 on 3 1/2 cylinders........the weekend before it blew..........i'd say tuned you should be fine with 10psi, but i'd stay around 8 to be safe......i think mine went b/c of detonation...i didn't retard the timing after i went up 4psi.....
