Default B18CR TURBO

I have a 98 b18cr in good health. I want to turbo charge it im not looking for crazy numbers just a little more power. what do you yall recommend for turbo size and how many psi on a stock block. I will be installing a new hg and arp headstuds timing belt, tensioner, and water pump before I boost it.

any input is appreciated thanks scott.

Oem hg
Cast iron mani
GOOD wastegate
GT2860rs-T3/T4 50 trim
Ebay intercooler
walbro 255
some 440cc injectors
I would not risk more than 300 whp on a c5/c6 engine if it was my engine...Too much to loose if breaks..

I wouldnt pick a log manifold or anything Ebay. Also 440cc injectors are going to be too small for his goal. Those will barely reach 300whp...go with a set of 550-720cc.

Its not about "PSI". you want to go by the amount of power that you're looking for. For the OEM B18CR, about 350 horsepower to the wheels. If you run 7psi on a turbo that's a GT40R size, you destroy the engine even though you think you're "safe"..

Check up on the FAQs, to understand more about turbocharging principles.

Feel free to check out my set-up. I went over-kill on the turbo/clutch/fuel system in case I want to build the motor and make more power later. My car is fun to drive, has been running strong since April 2013 and traps 92-93mph in the 1/8th driving it easy. My CRX is not a light weight race car it is full weight and with driver comes in at 2400 lbs.

The only thing I would do different is use a mini-ram or ram manifold. Tony @T1 said that my Spoolin performance log caused a lot of reversion with the type R cams and held back the HP.

Kit consist of:
GT3076R
Spoolin performance log
Turbonetics wastegate
Turbosmart BOV
Treadstone TR11 intercooler
Custom aluminum piping
I.D. 1000CC injectors
Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump
Hondata S300/Boost solenoid

Very nice setup. what kinda of numbers did ya put down? I took the crx to the track last night and ran a 13.155 @ 104.33 mph. 60' foot was 1.941. I had 21.5-8x13 hoosier full slicks on it.

The tuner suggested that we stop @300whp on his dyno cause it reads low so that's what we did. 297whp 260wtq
