B18C1 with Turbo or B18b with Turbo? Please experts whats better?
Alright what Im trying to decide is if its better to throw the turbo kit on the gsr motor or fix the ls motor and put the turbo kit on and then maybe use the vtec head of the gsr with the ctr cams cuz then i still get the quaife and stage 3 clutch. Also this maybe a dumb question but Is the quaife LSD transferrable into the GSR tranny??? This motor will be going into a hatch
here are the two motors specs:
Motor 1:
99 GSR Motor and tranny
CTR cams
INTAKE
DC HEADERS
5ZIGEN EXHAUST
VAFC
CTR CAMS
ACT CLUTCH - RACING CLUTCH STAGE 2
RESURFACED PRESSURE PLATE
P72 ECU
Motor 2: (Blown but runs)
98 Integra Ls Motor with 23,000 miles on it
98 Integra Ls Transmission 5 speed
Quaife Limited Slip Differential (LSD)
ACT Stage 3 Clutch
Turbo kit (fits Ls motor above but Im willing to get a new manifold etc)
T3/T4 Turbonetics drag turbo
Greddy Type-S BOV
Tial wastegate
Vortec Fuel Pump
Turbosmart Boost Controller
Spearco Intercooler
4 RC Lucas 440cc injectors (not installed but included) stock injectors installed

I would boost the GSR . You have many pieces that could build an excellent setup there. Do some more researh on this site and then deicde for yourself. I have a LS turbo in a hatch so, I am not being bias either w/ the first comment.

I would turbo the GS-R hands down. There is no feeling like V-TEC with the addition of boost. I would also make more power and will be more reliable than the LS\V-TEC.

some people are saying the ls will be more reliable and cheaper . Im not looking to build the gsr motor if i turbo it, but if i turbo the ls motor, I could use the extra $$$ to get pistons rods or a sleeved block or something. So Im thinking Ls turbo with gsr tranny for shorter gears (does the quaife lsd that is on my ls tranny bolt onto my gsr one? or could it be fabricated to?

1. He never said ls/vtec he said LS.
2. A properly built lsvtec(which is easy to do now thanks to prefabbed kits) is just as reliable as a gsr.
A gsr has higher compression than an LS so it will require better tuning. That is not to say that you shouldnt have both tuned properly though. I would boost the gsr, but the LS is MUCH cheaper.

LS and GSR LSD's are not interchangeable, IIRC.
