Default B18c in 99 civic

I am going to build the motor in my 99 civic si. I plan on using a B18c for the build up in place of the B16. I want to make sure i know what i am getting into before i start.

I know i need to make the down pipe longer, but i am not sure about the block. Is there a difference between an obd1 and obd2 block? If so, i can only use the obd2 block unless i convert to obd1 correct? How can i tell the differance between the two? Is there any other major changes? Thanks for your help.

Default Re: B18c in 99 civic (simike)

the blocks are different in that obd II has extra sensors. I got to take a few obdii sensors out when I put my new block in. As far as internals and physical the blocks should be the same.

In 96 integras went to obd ii, and they also started to get the VIN plate on em. There's probably a better way... anyone else?
