Default b18b1 turbo issues

im looking at a civic to buy and i need some info on it. the guy says that he thinks the headgasket is blown but im not sure. this is the car per his ad.

92 cx hatch ,b18b1 swap with a t25 turbo,fmic,2 1/2 inch exhaust,9.1 compression pistons,stage 2 clutch,9 lb flywheel,auto meter phantom white face gauges,vdo extrem tach,momo apache steering wheel,koni adjustable struts,coil overs,carbon fiber wing,smoked tail lights,old school clifford alarm,key less entry,has remote start also but not hooked up,ex gauge cluster,strut bars front and rear,msd cap,button,wires,external coil,chipped p75 ecu,450cc dsm injectors....,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,it has a busted head gasket,....

I sent him a message and asked him how he found the headgasket problem and this was his response.per his ad.

yea i can send some,if you can give me a email address,it was running realy stupid when i put it in the car ,i thout it was the ecu,but i got a new one and didnt change anything so i got a new distributer and nothing, different injecters and nothing,so i did a boost leak test on it and you can hear the oil bubbleing in the pan,so to my nolage its the head gasket,i just dont have the cash to sppend on it right now to find out but im pretty sure from past experences its the head gasket, the motor is a b18b1 out of a 94 acura integra ls

i have never heard of this issue "oil bubbling in the pan caused by head gasket"
he said it runns bad and im just woundering what i should check before i buy it. injector problems? head gasket? tune?
any help would be great

if its the head gasket its gonna over heat and a lot of pressure will build up in the radiator so take the radiator cap off and turn the car over it should shoot the water everywhere if the head gasket is blown but bubbles in the oil? sounds **** chung to me if the head gasket was blown air would leak out of the head but if the head gasket is bad between the piston and one of the channels that runs into the oil i guess its possible but iv never heard of it before

If you remove the cap for the coolant overflow when the car is on, look to see if there are bubbles being made in the overflow tank, usually when the HG is blown, it will produce bubbles from the air getting into the system as well.

This might be the bubbling he thinks is coming from the oil pan?

Check to see if any codes are being thrown in the car, see if the fan comes on when it comes up to temp. Find out what he means when it was "running stupid".

Make sure he produces the receipts for these supposed low comp pistons and everything he says that in it.

judging by the post id say its a hacked up piece of crap and dont bother. its a ricer car with a ghetto turbo system and probably not tuned and has cracked sleeves or somethign expensive to fix. Just get something in good shape and boost it your self, will save time and money in the long run

B series almost never blow OEM head gaskets, find out if its a OEM like or some thing else.

No, it just means the wires & connectors are in place if needed. The n00b probably did zero research, got a cheap kit (or hacked one together), and got a horrible basemap that cracked his pistons's ringlands. That's far more common for a b-series to do, and it will have crappy compression numbers as well as "bubble into the oil pan", since it's simply pushing air into the oil pan area.

Don't pay any more than a you would for a stock CX, since most of the stuff can't be resold for much, and the motor is probably junk. I don't recall ever seeing a ricer buy a good clutch, so assume that's trashed too. I'd be willing to bet he's also ground the synchros down to pulp, and bent a shift fork or two. Go over it with a fine toothed comb if you really want to get it.
