B18a/b vs. D16z6
i've done some searching and found that given the same amount of boost the B18a/b puts out the around the same hp as a D16z6. Yes i know the b18's can handle more boost and are better motors for high boost but what about 7-10 psi.
i have a d16z6 with a greddy kit boosting 10psi. my fren with an LS/VTEC is faster he has a pretty constant pull from me. I was planning on getting a B18 to boost 10psi on but by searching for dynos comparing stock b18a/b bolck and stock d16z6 blocks on 7-10psi are putting out similar numbers.

i went from a d series and kept the d series turbo stuff (t-25, hf manifold) and put it on a ls and it's only slightly faster (can't directly compare track times because the d series motor was shot and I added more weight with a interior when i went to b) you can definitely tell the difference in torque and on the highway on a top end pull so basically the b is funner to drive but at the track they might be somewhat equal if all things are equal (turbo, etc.) that's my 2 cents

you put the hf mani on a b series ?? .. wouldnt think that would even fit up

Re: B18a/b vs. D16z6 (1tyme)
anymore info on this? i'm debating wether to go LS turbo or just skrew turbo and go LS/VTEC either way i go would cast around the same to me. was thinking about tuning my aohc turbo but not quite confident on what the results would be.

last time i checked
i made 121 whp and 107 wtq
and on my graph i made more tq on low and mid range up to like 5k than most B16 ( ex, compared to my cousins 143 whp )
