Default B18 long block vs short block

Whats the difference and will the same heads fit on them? i have a 95GSR so what does that have? I am just wondering cause I may look to get a block to build up and then sell my engine one day.

Torin....I think the long block includes the head, and the short block is just the block.

Is that all that means? I was wondering that but then I thought maybe there were 2 types of blocks with different displacements.

The long block includes the head (usually an assembled engine). A short block is just the assembled bottom end (with pistons, rods, etc) waiting for a head, water pump, etc.
