b16b good with boost ?

Default b16b good with boost ?

well one of my friends has a b16b laying around and i was thinking of swapping that in my ek and boosting

my hp goal for this summer would be around 300 whp

how much who can a b16b handle on stock internals ? this will prob also be used as a daily driver

The higher static compression of the B16b would be the only concern. If you have access to a higher octane fuel such as E85, 100oct or race gas, then the higher static comp isn't much of an issue. The compression merely limits what you can achieve on a certain grade fuel. With your average premium 91-93oct fuel, you may be limited to less than 300whp.

i was reading somewhere that a b16b uses the same bottom end as a b18c but has a crank with a longer throw if i where to change that to a b18c crank wouldn't that lower the compression ?

and i would be able to make more power ?

or maybe get low compression pistons and stronger connecting rods
