Default B16A2 Cams vs GSR cams?

I have turbo B16A2 motor in my 2000 Civic SI, and I was wondering if it makes any sense changing the B16 cams to a set off GSR cams.??? I heard the GSR cams will be better for the B16 when boosting.??
Do any of you know the SPEC'S on the both cams??? eg: duration, rpm range and intake and exhaust specs.???
I did a search for this on google but not coming across any strong answers, you get different specs from different adds on google..

look foward to your experience and comments...

Not sure on the specs, but you will see an increase in power using the GSR cams on boost. If you have the money, upgrading straight to ITR cams would be a better move. What kind of power are you making? Details on the setup?

On boosted setup you can gain around 20whp by swapping to gsr cams. I don't know about on motor. Pretty easy to put in so doesn't hurt anything to try.

What is the RPM range on the GSR cams vs the B16A2.???
I know on a B16A2 motor it read lines at 8200 RPM where the rev limiter kicks in, but the cam makes its most power at 7600 RPM.
Also is there any difference between the valve springs.??????

Thank you for the info, I found it last night and would like to get a set of nice cams but money is running slow these days, that's why I'm looking at the GSR cams or TypeR cams but they are hard to come by.

Take a look at my link and click on the pics and go the pictures with the car.
http://www.myspace.com/ny4pd
Also the motor is a B16A2 dead stock internals, B16 Tranny, and the Turbo is a T3 with a inlet of AR42/AR48. The Turbo spools up nicely at around 2500/2700 to who knows. The car is just street tune a little, and awaiting to dyno tune soon by Billet Design here in Florida in Pompano Beach. The Computer is a P28 chipped with chrome software, the car runs nice pulls hard but everthing else you can see in the photo: AEM Fuelrail, Aem Fuel Regulator, Walbro hp 255 fuel pump, DSM 450 injectors with the resistor box installed but hidden, 38mm Tial wastegate, the real HKS BOV no knock off, Skunk2 Pro-series intake manifold and NGK 1 step colder spark plugs. The Tail wastegate has a 7.25lb spring in it. hope this answer your question... thank you...

you can upgrade to it, but don't rev past 8300. You will also need a new tune before you go ripping on it.

if anything just run the exhaust cam, you wont notice much of a difference between the b16 and b18 intake cam lobes..

You can run the stock valvetrain as long as you stay with the stock redline.

From what I've seen in this thread it seems that the GSR cam upgrade is more noticeable with the exhaust cam, and they ITR cam upgrade is more noticeable with the intake cam. Could you run a hybrid setup using an ITR intake cam and a GSR exhaust cam for boost?

You can, but most people have found it unnecessary to mix the two. Only distributorships sell them individually. Most people themselves will not.

I thought it took alot of cam adjustment to get them to show such good numbers.I think it was Jeff Evans that did some cam adjustments to get the nice numbers and if it takes alot of time on the dyno to get them dialed in right wouldnt it make more sense to get aftermarket cams?
