It's 2400 or so the scale that i weighed it on rounds by 20lbs...and when im in it its @ 2550 and I weigh 170ish...So it may be a little lighter....The car still has better times in it I need bigger slicks, and good suspension..just running ebay coilovers with stock shocks...This winter doing a cage full suspension, and more boost and tuning.

Hi guys,

I'm building my B16 at the moment, as my first Turbo built setup, I get some dificulties to choose the turbo.

It's the last part of the puzzle, I would like something which start spooling early targetting a good 450 to 500 Hp.

What's ur advice?

What about the use of a Block gard for those kind of power on a B16??

Thanks guys,

Ur numbers rocks

GT30**R, astriks represent the size you prefer.. I've seen plenty of 450hp b16's without block guards.. the only thing they block is coolant flow

revved out too high, got a rod knock so I pulled the bottom end for the built one but using the same head. I'll eventaully put another b20 back in but it will be built.

Marcus, whats the status of the car since the last time I talked to you? Have you hit the dyno again since you got your boost leak fixed?

Marcus, if you don't mind me asking is your bottom end a stock sleeve bottom end or sleeved 2.0L? I ask cause some people say built and that means rods/pistons and nothing else. Good numbers though regardless, is that a ebay turbo BTW? How does the b20 compare to the b16?

Car looks great.

Just curious, when do you start spooling with your setup and when do you see full boost(14psi), thanks.

Default Re: B16a Turbo Setups (Sean EH2)

got my car to the dyno and got tuned by lance, got 242whp at 8psi on very conservatve tune.

setup is:
93 hatchback gutted, just seats and dash left
stock b16a
log manifold
t3 60-1
tial 38mm tuned on spring
3 inch downpipe
precision intercooler
rc 750's

any comments on the numbers?
lance says that 3 or 4 more pounds would get me to 300whp, i just wanted to tune on the spring for now. car is a blast to drive and i love the lag for traction, the turbo hits at 5krpm and hits very hard .
