H22 all the way...You say your going to replace the pistons and rods...That means your sleeving it.You cant beat the displacement..No need for the h2b as its a **** poor design and things have gotten alot better for the tranny parts for the h22 now.. Now if you stay stock you can still make tons of power and TORQUE(something a b16 isnt going to make TORQUE). I ran a stock h22 that had 120k miles on it for 45k miles all motor.Switched it to boost and e85 for 25k miles at 421whp and 315tq. Daily driven and daily beat on... Not one problem till the 200k mark... New motor soon.. Its also cheaper than the b16 motor. The guy that said the motor weights more than 200lb more than a b16 is stupid..

i agree with everything here cept the H2B is a **** design.. care to explain this??? this corrects ur axle binding issue and you are allowed to runa b series trans which can take a bigger beating, cheaper to find and has the shorter ration as in the b16 or type r. also the shift issue with the h that sometimes people missift alot with it. find me a downside against it cept the fact u gotta pay for the plate..
