Default b16a - do i need a block girdle?

I'm building a b16a for boost. I am hoping to run about 15psi and hope to make 350whp.

Is it recomended to run a block girdle for that kind of power? I know its not a lot, but the reason I'm asking the question is because I'm about to take my block to the machine shop in an hour to get the mains done and I'd hate to find out I need a girdle and have to pay 190 bucks to get them done again.

Good to know. I was thinking I probably don't need one, I just wanted to make sure.

OP, a girdle is not needed for your power goal.

Thanks guys. I'm leaving now to take the block for its first machine shop session. Today its getting cleaned, pressure tested, and having the main bearings checked for alignment.
