a stock b16 head can rev higher/make more power than a stock ls block can take.

Yes and Yes.

There are 400whp D series running stock valvetrain, and their heads flow like ****!

I know, because I own a boosted z6 motor, and in the process of building one.

What I ment to say was, should I change the stock springs or valves to handle 350-400 hp or will the stock valvetrain be o.k?

If he's using a stock ls block and a stock b16 head (which I'm assuming based on the first post) and boosting it, he's more prone to breaking stuff in the block by the power and higher revving, before the head.
How many times have you heard of people blowing a 350whp ls? alot
How many times have you heard of someone ******* up their head because of too much power? basically never. from higher revving? past ~8k occassionally
Or how about ******* the head (eating a valve and/or comb. cham. damage) due to a rod breaking on a stock block? alot

apples and oranges? no, not at all. If he said a built block or a built head it would be different.
