Definately a driver mod issue here. The turbo is fine, and you have the right equipment. I'm not trying to insult you here, but it just may mean you need more seat time to get it right. there's nothing wrong with that.

With that turbo it should more than make up for the lag when it hits, 90% of the time a fast spool means less top end. It's hard to get both with such small displacement. What is the AFR and the timing set at?

check your injectors.... the dsm 450's max out at around 310 whp. so maybe you're maxing them out..

Now we get the rest of the info, lol.... Yeah all of that explains the problem ur having. Ur not getting the power to the ground very well and the charge pipe is choking the turbo, exhaust leaks don't matter but u will get more if u would remove the exhaust for racing. Also the length of the wastegate tube (from the manifold to the wastegate) won't effect anything very much and bigger injectors will help too.

That turbo does not spool too late at all, that makes no sense. You should basically be launching in boost and staying there the whole way. I went 12.2@115 on 10 psi with a similar turbo, same drivetrain/tire setup except steel 15" wheel. My slicks were at 8-10 psi i think.

Fix all the little things that you know need fixing, and then get some more seat time, you have basically everything you need to go fast, just need to set it up. Don't turn up the boost without tuning for it, I hate when ppl turn up boost past where it was tuned. If you want to run that much, tune for that much.
