Default B16 SC61 Dyno #

Did a few runs just to see how it does tuned. First run did 222whp at 8psi. Chart showed power peaked at 5k and dropped all the way off. Checked the vac lines and found out my BOV was leaking.

Moved some vac lines around and fixed that, run two started to build boost then hit 11psi.. I shut it down right away.

Turned down the mbc a few turns and tried again, held 8psi all the way to redline and hit 262whp and 181tq. That is 22whp and 31tq more than my old car at 8psi. That was at sea level on a dynojet and with correction on SAE. Uncorrected numbers were 275whp if it matters.

I'm guessing 10psi would be around 280-290whp, maybe 200tq but i'll wait for the track to find out.

And yes, bone stock B16 with the turbo. I'll post the chart later, great street turbo too! Full boost at 5500rpm

I don't make the power you do, I gotta use clean stuff instead

The turbo is a E trim.

No, your correct. That was part of the problem along with a torn vac line and now it's making a funny noise. Junk bov

Why'd you sally out when it hit 11psi? heh...

Tune it soft and you can run 12psi all day, every day.

My friend just sold his turbo b16a, 1st get in an ef. Bone-stock block, 60-trim T3. Car made ~250whp at 10psi, full boost well before 4500.

I'd have to say you got cheated by getting such a big turbo rather than a small one running more boost. I'm going to guess you did so because you want to run it in the future on a built motor and try for 400whp+?

Anyways, nice power.

Because it was still going up when I let off

I'll turn it up at the track for sure though, Sean just has to retune it here in the spring for 11psi

you still running b16 cams? surprised that power didn't drop after 7200rpms with them, as i've seen on other b16s.

That happened to me once, but mine went up to like 18psi.

i've seen dyno's of b16t's and thier power died after 7200, could ahve been auto cams in it thought, maybe that was it.

before he has a t3/t4b 57 trim

Yep, stock B16 cams in the motor.

You can see at 7200 the power doesn't really die off but it does stop climing like it used too. I think some cams would help out a bit up top, didn't even really think of that
