b16 rebuild questions
I finished by fully built b16 turbo a while back and i have been having timing issues for awhile. the day before i got it tuned it jumped timing and i have let it sit ever since. (couple months now) after taking a break im going to pull the motor and just do a whole new fresh build and start from scratch. i was reading in a thread that when using the type r oil pump u need a specific water pump and belt. so this time i want to get it right. with my b16 having a oem type r oil pump, what belt and water pump do i need?

ok well after much discussion with my tuner and much thought, i decided to go ahead and go all out with a sleeved block. my goal is 500 whp and i dont have a lot of money to make it happen all at once so its gonna be a process. I need to get the ball rolling on this so if ANYBODY knows where to find any sleeved b16's for a good price let me know. i wll keep everyone updated with pics on the build

Ok well i found a good deal on a 84mm sleeved ls block with eagle rods that im gonna pick up. my goal on this build is 500+ whp and i wanna do everything right this time around. I heard some talk about boosting 84mm+ and having head gasket issues. would having the block oring'd help prevent this?

Well the ls deal fell through so i went with a darton 84mm b16. My build will compose of 84mm sleeved b16, stock crank,arp hardwear,eagles,84mm cp 9:1,stock head TB and IM, supertech valve train,itr cams,750cc inj,3 bar map, walboro 255,garret 60-1 w/70ar, tial 38mm,mini ram manifold,precision 600hp intercooler tuned on chrome pro. I would like to see 550whp on some gas, anything over 500 would be nice though. Any input on set up? what will be some limiting factors to be 550whp?
