quick lsv question

Default quick lsv question

I was just wondering i know i have to get new water/oil pumps since im using a b16 head do i have to get b16 water/oil pump or could it be from gsr's too.

You don't have to get water/oil pump to match anything,
the thing when you buy the diff water pump, is that the vtec one has a different amount of teeth.

So then you have to get the timing belt to match the pump.

The GSR/B16/Type R have more teeth to slow the pump due to the higher redline. Thus, its not necessarily a good thing to switch them unless you're raising your redline quite a bit (7500+ is generally the cutoff in my opinioin).
