Default b16 oil pump on a b20 question

is it wise to put a b16 oil pump on a b20. I have a complete b20 I thought it would be better to put a higher volume oil pump on? I'm building a b20 for my turbo setup i plan on changing it to a b20/vtec in the future.

thanks

what year pre-96 or post-96

either way i think the b16 and b18 pumps are a different size. goto honda and acura and look at the part numbers.

I believe all the 96+ oil pumps are the same for the B series engines.

that is correct, so i dont think a pre-96 B16 pump will fit on a B18 or B20 block

the older pumps lack the mounting holes for the crank fluctuation sensor
