What is a "stage 2" cam? Different grinders have different "stages".
In any case, I think the stock valves are fine as long as you aren't using an intensely powerful valvespring or revving to 9k+ RPM.

Your stock valves will work fine.They have a good profile and are very durable.The type r valves are a little lighter but I would only use them if I had to buy either the b16 or type r because I didn't have any valves to start with.

You could benefit from a nice set of ferre stainless if its in the budget i even got a set for sale pm me if you want them
