Icon2 b16 , boost, headgasket 3mm

Hi,

I have a 1994 Honda civic with a b16, the bottom end finally went just b4 I parked the car. It is coming out now, going to the shop to put a replacement b16 bottom end.

Now I have a fully built gs-R head : p&p, turbo cams, springs, retainers, valves etc...

I was planning on using this built head on a lower comp. built bottom, because if I bolt it onto a b16 bottom end compression will increase about 1 + .

So I was thinking of : http://www.inlinepro.com/s1/p-236-b-...ad-gasket.aspx

Running a 3mm headgasket.

This should lower the compression quite a bit, and Im being told even with the gs-R head on my compression won't be as high as it is now stock B16.

So what to do?

Stock headgasket and run a full b16?

or

3mm headgasket and run my built gs-R head ?

Motor was a bone stock 1989 b16 @ 12 psi made 318whp & 218wtq.
It was a semi-tired motor, and it was my daily driver.

Im looking for 350+whp now, and it's no longer my daily.
Will be running on 94 pump gas.

b16 bottom + gsr + 3mm drops compression way too low... that combo will put you at 8.4:1

not to mention id never run a headgasket that thick in the first place.

and the gsr head has 41.60cc combustion chambers, b16 42.70cc.. so the gsr head would cause higher compression numbers no matter what... with that 3mm gasket on the b16 compression drops to 8.25:1...

compression wont matter much either, theres simply a limit to what stock pistons can take.
