Default B-series VTECnique + Precision SC63 dyno

i think im like one of 5 ppl using the SC63, thats what i get for buying stuff early and holding onto it instead of waiting, oh well, i can't complain about the #'s

SC63 T04E Comp. Cover, .60 a/r, P-trim turbine .63 a/r
83mm B18C
Mild PnP, .5mm os valves in & ex
JG IM
97 ITR Cams
10:1 CP's, Crowers, GayCL bearings
3" dp
Log/Semi Tubular ghettofabulous custom manifold
Big precision IC, 2.5" piping
MSD 1000 cc's
Tuned on Crome

Vid - righ click save as

low boost: 430.3/300 18psi

high boost: 508.7/360 24 psi

made some more on this run @ 25-26psi but i blew off the intercooler pipe, gave me a heart attack from the "boom" noise, i called it quits cuz i broke 5 already and i didnt care. i dont even think i did any real tuning on the higherboost, i was too busy keeping the IC pipes on for a clean run, then i kept missing on higher boost cuz I was too scared to gap my iridium (NGK BKR-8 EIX) plugs in fear of breaking them, so i had to leave them at .29 ish gap... wish i coudda brought it down to like .18-.20 and seen what woudda happened.

boost was falling off a little bit towards redline..

ah well.

so there u have it, precision sc63 #'s, cuz i know anytime i looked for #'s i couldn't find any, except ryan autry posting a jdm gsr @ 8 psi and around 330 wheel i believe.

holla

Man...too bad for your misfire. It looks as though you were headed to make a 550whp pass. Good luck with it and get it back up there for some high boost passes. Ryan

i dunno about 550...maybe @ 28psi.. the 517 was on 26... i prolly wouda made like 520 seeing as i was making peak #'s at around 7500 anyway

i was so worn out (drove 6 hrs to the dyno).

one day in the not too distant future when i have a "real" exhaust manifold and i have all the other stupid crap fixed w/ the car (busted axle seal, cv boot torn, rust, paint, clean up wiring, get new suspension, blah blah blah) then ill go for broke :D

1QwiKEf has a similar setup, but he has AEM and a neukin mani, he has had good results with his SC63,, he ran a 10.96 @ 130 on 17psi . Ithink once u get a better mani and rework the tune u should see a decent gain

i think i can fix that w/ the AVCR duty cycle... i ended up just swapping the 6 psi spring ... well adding an 11 psi spring rather... so now i just run pump gas @ 17 psi off the wastegate, and i have the AVCR for higher boost if i want
plus i think the dyno was off by about 400 rpm, cuz i have vtec xover at 5600 on crome, and u can see on the 517 run its crossing over at 6,000

soo technically, its full spool at 6350

yeah i think so too, gimmie another year, maybe 2 to recover from this expenditure and then ill redo the mani.

i already have a burns collector sitting in my garage, just gotta mock up a new design

btw heres my only pic of the day ppl, off my camera phone

peaks recorded by the AVCR

A good frined of mine, Qitstrn on here, ran consistant 10.58 and 10.6X @ 139 and 140 on a hurt motor with his SC63E. At 30lbs he made 570whp STD. After that the ignition would start breaking up on the dyno.

i was only able to get 570whp out of my PT63. still good for 10.1 ET. over lapping the 35r and the pt63 charts was interesting. off boost power was nearly 50whp higher on the 35r, and the 35r made an extra 46whp. thats when i decided i love my 35r.
