Default b-series junkyard setup

ok i just got done with my b20 swap and i happened to notice that my unused b20 exhaust mani looked similar to the hf mani used in d-series getto/junkyard turbo setups... if i had to guess i would say its maybe 4 inches or so lower than the hf mani so basically im pondering if this would be feasible or not... i placed the mani on my freinds car which was being worked on at the time and it seemed that it would make the turbo hang pretty low but no lower than the tow hooks.. probably more along the lines of the oil pan height..

tell me what you think.............

if it's too low you will have problems with the gravity fed oil return line.

B series turbo manifolds are getting cheap these days. I wouldnt hassle with the stock manifold.

that b20 manny has a 3bolt flange. good luck finding a turbo that will fit that (with adaptation) it'll probably also sit too low. you could buy a manny for a B or even D-series (and redrill the mounting holes) and you'll be better off. manifolds are not friendly to dick with, though...cast iron is expensive to get welded.
