how big of a difference is there between the distance of the exhaust ports on a b series head compared to a d series head? i have a b series turbo mani layin around but wanna use it on my d. can i just cut the flange off the d series mani, then cut the one off the turbo mani, and then weld the d one on? will it line up? any help is appreciated. thanks

I'm not exactly sure how work extensive it is, but there have been a few people to use a d-series greddy manifold on a b-series head. IIRC, they were just enlarging the bolt holes. The "search" is down, but hopefully that'll give you a start.

Man, that is so much work. I had a B series manifold that was welded onto a turbo. At the time I was going to do a B swap, but decided not to, so I bought one of the cheap D series manifolds (DX or whatever).

I cut off the flange and was working on getting it smooth enough to weld it onto the B manifold. Turned out to be too much work with the limited tools I had so I had the B manifold cut to pieces w/ a plasma cutter and bolted the turbo to a D series manifold that I bought.
