Default AVCR: Please help!!! GRRRRR.....

I have all the vacuums hooked up, and I double, triple, and quadruple checked the wiring, I mean over and over again....the motherfucking piece of **** still won't turn on. What else can I check for? I wired the two grounds into the same ground wire on the ecu harness, was I supposed to cut it and go one end to the other? What's the possibility that I have a faulty unit?

I bought this brand new by the way....

oh yeah and I checked for voltage on all the wires I had to tap into.

I'm supposed to be getting my car tuned in Torrance, so if there's anyone who would be willing to meet up and let me try and see if your unit will work if plugged up to mine real quick I'd really appreciate it.

I bought it new in the box off ebay =\ ....what do you mean at the plug? I checked to see if any juice was going through the wires at the harness that plugs into the ecu. At first I used tap in connectors, then I just hard wired.

are you getting power at the harness, how do you test for it??? also just twisting the wires together isnt god enough on those small guage wires, you should solder.

Alright, I went ahead and soldered everything this time, still nothing. when I unlplug and then plug the main harness back to the avcr unit while the cars on, I can hear the solenoid clicking, so I'm assuming that means it's getting power. Gotdamnit WTF!!?!?!??

This is original poster btw

Does anyone know if I can exchange just the head unit to see if that is the problem?

Is it possible to just buy the head unit? I couldn't find any contact info on Apexi's site except to dealers.

no, you're not supposed to cut it. one ground is tapped in and the other is tapped in 1 cm after it
