Is an AVCR needed with AEM EMS? Do they work in conjunction?

Is an AVCR needed with AEM EMS? Do they work in conjunction?
I plan to run an AEM EMS, do I need an AVCR to control boost? Can the AVCR control the boost through the EMS. Someone gimme the scoop.

the ems doesnt have a boost controller, but it comes w/ a boost control feature, when used in conjunction w/ a boost control solenoid, it works damn good 
basically all you need is a $25 dollar part and the ems to control boost

The ems will control boost just fine dont waste the money on an avcr just pick up the gm boost sol or the apexi boost sol the gm one is about $35 with the pigtail and the apexi one is about $130 check out http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com for the part
