Auto teg.. going turbo..
Ok before i get killed, i have read most of the 160 topics i found during my search...
1. I dont want to go 5 speed b/c i live in a high traffic area and usually end work right near the worst time... therefore i dont want to be hastled w/ this.
2. I understand a company named "level 10" exist and has products to upgrade auto trannies.... question is ... WHAT DO I NEED????
3. People keep saying something about a tranny cooler, and tranny temp guage.. . where would i go about getting something like this? as nobody has givin any resources on this matter
4. I know that you guys all say "go manual its faster" and stuff like that. but this is just a daily driver, and i want it reliable..
so here is what i want:
anywhere between 200-300 whp looking at getting the drag3 turbo kit, but dont know if its ac compatible or if it will fit an auto...
but what i need to know really is WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE MY TRANNY SURVIVE THE PUNISHMENT.... i know there is a lot more torque so i probably need a better torque converter? but what else is necessary to allow my transmission to be reliable and run strong all day long on say...... 10-12 psi boost?
note: will be building engine aswell...
anyways thanks in advance for any insight, knowledge, or general help that you can give me!!
thanz!

I was going to go turbo on my auto-mato 98 Prelude before I bought a Civic. I have a brand new Perma-Cool tranny cooler w/ filter that has been sitting around for about a year or so. This would definitely be essential. If you want it pm me an offer.

Re: (NathanielH)
i'm referring to the load on the engine.
easiest way to describe:
going 30 mph in 4th gear and flooring it. puts a lot of strain on the motor, and produces tons of heat in the cylinders. kind of where the "don't boost in 5th gear" myth comes into play.

heat is the one of the main killers of auto trannies. Like when a highload occurs such as going up a hill while accelerating it could be slipping and you wouldnt even know it until it got too hot.
